My Approach
My Story
I am an enthusiastic teacher with over twenty years experience. I have taught in primary schools, middle schools, independent schools and also in Switzerland. In total, I have fourteen years experience as English Leader.
I became an Apple Teacher in 2018 and I was awarded my MA in Education in 2020. I have recent safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS Certificate. I also belong to The Tutors' Association.

Additionally, I have a Diploma in Leadership and Management and I am a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
​
In my spare time I enjoy walking, running and spending time with my Labradors. I also enjoy arts and crafts and I play the piano and organ.

For learning to be effective, a really positive teacher pupil relationship is paramount. I am keen to get to know each child as an individual so that their learning experience is purposeful and enjoyable, fuelling their development and supporting their journey as lifelong learners.

For primary aged pupils, I offer a bespoke engaging and interactive programme which includes visible learning and meaningful feedback. The programme may focus on one or several subject areas as required, and can include verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills. I also prepare pupils for entrance exams at 11+
